The safety of our students, staff, and guests is always our most important priority. Our school building has controlled access at all entrances and exits, security cameras throughout our campus, and a communication system that allows us to broadcast alerts or emergency information from any room in the building.
In addition, all staff, volunteers, and coaches undergo background checks, fingerprinting and child protection training before working with children. Please contact the school office for information and requirements on submitting background check result.
Per the Diocese of Columbus, every volunteer in a program or ministry for children and youth regardless of their level of contact with children and youth, is required to complete a civilian criminal background check and participate in a Protecting God's Children training session.
At least two adults who are in full compliance with Diocesan safe environment policies are present at all activities and situations. This includes, but is not limited to, transporting minors in motor vehicles for field trips, practices, sporting events, mission trips, and so forth. This does not apply to situations where the driver is the parent or legal guardian of ALL the minors in the motor vehicle.
All volunteers must be fingerprinted to obtain an official BCI background check and attend “Protecting God’s Children” offered throughout the Diocese. All documents must be turned in to the Diocesan Safe Environment Office. This is for the protection of our students. No children under the age of 16 may work for community hours.
